Born from an ancient land of wine
Cyprus has been making wine for over 5,500 years. The world's oldest named wine — Commandaria — was born here. Yet most visitors leave the island without ever discovering the extraordinary wineries just a few kilometres from their hotel.
Thoukis exists to change that. We connect curious travellers and locals with the real people, real stories, and real wines behind every winery door.
“Thoukis” is a rare old Cypriot name — almost forgotten, yet instantly memorable. Just like the wineries we celebrate.
Meet the Donkey
Before roads, before trucks — there was the donkey. For thousands of years it carried the harvest down mountain paths from vine to winery, grape by precious grape.
Our mascot honours every donkey that ever walked the vineyards of Cyprus.
